Article Marketing Is Not As Hard As It Seems

By Ray Bradbury

Article marketing might remain a mystery to you until someone manages to shine a light on the industry. Well, that's exactly what we're going to do in this article. Follow us as we take you on an enlightening journey, exposing the tips you need to turn your article marketing venture into a successful business.

Improve your site's search ranking by including more internal links. When you add new content to the page, link back to previous content. For instance, if you have a blog about recipes and are posting an Italian pasta dish, link back to a previous recipe you wrote about lasagna. When you do this, you automatically boost internal traffic within your site, which can raise your ranking.

If your article is already included on your own website, do not submit it to article directories. Many search engines have rules about duplicate content, and you do not want to have your article removed because you put it in multiple places. Instead, rewrite the article (a content 'spinning' software program can be really helpful) and submit the rewritten article to the directories.

Your writing should range from basic to complex throughout your article. If you are marketing a technical product, be sure to include technical terms. You should also explain the technical terms for your uninformed readers. Addressing the needs of all the members of your audience will garner you respect and authenticity.

Use social media sharing buttons like "Post to Facebook" and "Tweet this" on the site where you post your articles. If your article resonates with someone, they may well share it with their friends and drive additional sales. Don't use the buttons yourself, though, since an article that is "independently popular" is less likely to be perceived as spam.

Don't write the great American novel! When people are looking for information online, they don't generally want to read a thousand words. Learn to edit appropriately to convey your message in an interesting, readable, lively manner. Articles of 300 to 500 words that deliver their message in a concise manner are appreciated by online readers!

A lot of articles you write are not going to be effective, but that doesn't mean you should delete them or hide from them. As long as you're proud of them and they contain good grammar and good information, leave them hanging around. You might be able to use them one day for something.

By adding pictures that are relevant to the article one can provide an eye catching addition the the article to increase its marketing potential. However one needs to be sure that the picture does not make up the content but simply supplement the existing article content so the information is still there.

Put your main keyword phrase in your article title. Each and every article you write needs to center around your main keyword or keywords. Those keywords should be contained in each article as well, along with related or long-tail keywords. This helps your articles get noticed by search engines and brings the right readers to your articles.

The choice of words one uses when writing an article can make a big difference to article marketing. Having a word choice that attracts the viewers by catching their attention of interest can greatly help with the success of an article. Instead of using a word such as good one can use grand or spectacular to increase the effect of that word.
